Privacy Policy

This policy explains what McCormick Family Dentalcollects through this website — mccormickfamilydental.com— and what we do with it.

It does not cover your dental records. Health information the practice holds about you is protected by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we give you as a patient and can hand you any time you ask.

• What you type into a form. Your name, phone number, email, how you’d prefer to be reached, and whatever you tell us in the message box.
• What you say to the assistant. This site has a chat assistant. What you type in it is stored so the office can read it and follow up, exactly like a message left through the form.
• Ordinary technical information. Standard web-server and analytics data — the pages requested, approximate location, browser type, and the time. We use it to keep the site working, not to build a profile of you.

Please don’t send us health details through this website. If it’s about your treatment, or it’s urgent, call (903) 856-6688.

We use it to answer you, to schedule and confirm your visits, and to run the practice. That’s the whole list.

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.

We do not share your mobile number, or your consent to be texted, with any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with the service providers who deliver our messages on our behalf, and only so they can deliver them.

Giving us a phone number is not the same as agreeing to be texted. We text you only if you ticked the box on the appointment request or contact form or told us in person that we could. What we send, and how to stop it, is in our Messaging Policy. Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop.

The practice uses outside providers to run this website, deliver email and text messages, and store the messages you send us. They may handle your information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Messages and requests are kept as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then removed. Records of consent to be texted are kept for as long as we hold the number, plus the period the law requires — that record is what proves the permission was given, so it outlives the texting itself.

Ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will — except where we’re required to keep it. Call the office or write to the address below.

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information through it. Parents and guardians book for their children, as they do in the office.

If this policy changes we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
