Family Dentistry

Kids, parents, grandparents — one practice that knows all of you, in a town where that still counts for something.

What it is

Most of Pittsburg met Dr. Chelsy before her name was on the door. She spent seven years as a hygienist in this office and 22 in the profession, and a lot of the people in her chair now she has known for years.

One practice for the whole family means one place to drive to, appointments that can be stacked together, and a dentist who knows that your daughter grinds her teeth and your dad's bridge is fifteen years old.

Children are welcome here. So is anyone who hasn't been to a dentist in a decade and is a bit embarrassed about it.

What happens when you come in

  1. First visits are easy onesEspecially for kids. Counting teeth, a ride in the chair, meeting everybody. Nothing has to happen on day one.
  2. Stack the appointmentsTell us who else is coming and we'll try to get you in together rather than across three trips.
  3. One historyWe keep the family's records together, so what we learned about one visit informs the next.

This might be for you if

  • You're new to Pittsburg and looking for a family dentist
  • You'd rather not drive to three different offices
  • Your child is due their first visit
  • You were Dr. Richardson's patient and want to keep coming here

None of this is a diagnosis — it’s just what tends to bring people in. If you’re not sure whether it applies to you, call and ask.

Questions people ask

How young can my child be?

Early is better than late — a first visit that's just a look around builds the habit before anything needs doing. Call us and we'll talk about the right time for your child.

I was Dr. Richardson's patient. Is he still here?

Yes. Dr. Richardson stayed on as Senior Advisor and remains part of the team. Your records are here and so is he.

Can we all come at once?

Tell us when you book and we'll do our best to get the family in together.

What it costs

We can’t put a number on this page honestly — it depends on your mouth and your plan. What we can tell you is how it works: we look first, we explain what we think you need, and you get the cost in writing before anything starts. We don’t begin work you haven’t agreed to, and we won’t pressure you into treatment you don’t need.

We're out of network with all insurances. We do file your claims as a courtesy, so the paperwork isn't left to you — but what your plan pays back is between you and them, and we won't guess at a number. Bring your plan and we'll tell you what we know before anything starts.

CareCredit and Sunbit are available if you’d rather spread the cost. If you’d like to ask before you come in, call (903) 856-6688.

Ready when you are

We’ll greet you by name, explain things clearly, and never rush you.
